The 34th edition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam has ended and normal live will start at half past six tomorrow morning. I saw about 40 movies this year (not including shorts). The last one I saw yesterday was Sideways (2004) by Alexander Payne. The movie is nominated for five Oscars. The movie is about two friends who go on tour along the Californian-wineries for a week. A nice movie with sharp dialogues, but not very special in my opinion. Or it should be that it is an American movie about ‘normal’ people and their problems, without explosions and special effects in it.
