Both the opening and the closing screenings of the 34^th IFFR have been anounced. 10e chambre – Instants d’audience (2004), a documentary directed by Raymond Depardon, will open the festival. Howl’s Moving Castle (2004) from Hayao Miyazaki (o.a. Spirited Away (2001)) will close the 34^th edition of the IFFR. The movie broke sales records in its opening weekend in Japan. I do hope this means on of the Dutch distributors will release the movie in the future, so I can skip it on the IFFR. The last Saturday is not my favorite day to see movies during the festival, to crowded.
