Mary operates a gift shop in Nairobi. She sells a variety of gift items such as scented candles, vases, jewellery, flowers, cards, etc. With the loan she will purchase additional stock to increase business capacity, a computer and a tax register.
Mary’s business has been running since 2006. She currently has one employee who tends to the shop. Before starting the gift shop Mary had a rice selling business which enabled her raise capital for the gift shop.
