Mugisa is a business man who deals in carpentry business. He majors in producing Tables, Coffins, Sofa Sets, Dining Tables etc. He has got so many customers and therefore needs a loan so that he can be able to meet their demands.
Mugisa’s father funded him to learn carpentry in 1984 and after the course, he started working and at the same time doing industrial training in one of the workshops in Fort portal for 2 years.
He also gained further experience in roofing houses for other 2 years. While in that work, the father found him up on the top of one house roofing and he was concerned about his safety. So he funded him with some initial capital and he started a carpentry workshop under a tree in 1988 in the middist of Fort portal town.
With the help of the brother he bought the very plot he had set up a mini workshop. In 1990 while in a temporary shade he had his proposal funded from Netherlands to train the youth and that is how he got some machinery in place.
In 1994 he built a permanent structure on the site. So in 2000 United Nations International Development Organizations (UNIDO) enrolled him for a two year Master Craftsman Programme (MCP) and he is a trainer of trainees in carpentry and joinery.
He thus needs funding to boost his operating capital to help him meet the growing demand for his products that include Coffins, Side boards and all other household furniture.
