About:
Mankessim Co-operative Transport Society is a welfare society for local drivers and vehicle owners in Mankessim area in Ghana. The Society, which has membership of 27, presently generates income from the management of the local lorry park and membership levies.

Objective of the opportunity:
The Cooperative Society is seeking to expand and improve its income generation sources whiles providing employment and income opportunities for its membership. With a 10,032 Euro loan the Co-operative Society procure and manage a minibus operating from the Mankessim lorry station.

Financial of the opportunity:
With this loan, the cooperative society expects to diverse its revenue sources and increase the monthly revenue from €3,130 to over €4,000.

People, Profit and Planet:
With this loan, the cooperative society would provide employment opportunities and income to 4 persons and their families. The Cooperative would generate more income to support welfare activities of the membership and further improve the knowledge of membership in road safety practices and HIV/AIDS menace.
