MYC4 profile Ritah Kwanuka –

Uganda

Ritah deals in the sale of children’s clothes. She wants a second loan to invest in the purchase of more clothes. This will enable her to serve more clients hence boosting her sales.

Ritah would like to acquire another loan from MYC4. She deals in the sale of children’s clothes in both wholesale and retail. In 2007, she decided to obtain a loan of 3,075 Euros from MYC4. With the loan, she bought more clothes and restocked her shop. This enabled her to compete favorably in the market and provide better services. Ritah’s business currently provides her with a monthly net income of 300 Euros.

Ritah is currently unable to sufficiently meet the demands of the growing client base. To solve this, she is looking to import more stock from Thailand but she is faced with inadequate capital. With a loan, she is certain that she will be able to purchase enough stock. Ritah believes that she will have the capacity to effectively and efficiently serve more clients, 24 months after obtaining the loan.

Ritah sells her clothes to a number of clients at affordable prices.

In addition, she uses the income she generates to cater for the needs of her family in terms of food, shelter and education for her children.
