TNO developed a methodology to identify sector specific opportunities by examining bottlenecks and drivers for sustainable innovation. Their research results are presented in 4 reports:

• Report I: Competitive sustainability chemical industry: R I explores the highly innovative chemicals sector and how it deals with opportunities and bottlenecks in sustainable innovation.
• Report II: Competitive sustainability Dutch construction: examines the project driven construction industry and how entrepreneurs and incumbent firms develop strategies to deal with the bottlenecks of sustainable innovation.
• Report III: Competitive sustainable construction industry: extends II by highlighting the role of the incumbent firms in this process.
• Report IV: Sustainable entrepreneurship: deepens report II by illuminating the strategies of entrepreneurs in the transition to sustainable construction.
